Strengthening Families Program

The Kansas Strengthening Families Plan is part of the State's vision to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect and to make Kansas the best place to raise a child. It is a year-long program that early education programs can participate in to learn how to support children and families.
Participants will take 12-24 hours of free in-service from the Zero to Three Curriculum Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect: Parent-Provider Partnerships in Child Care. They will provide one or more parent cafe for the families in care and they will set goals and have visits with the Infant/Toddler Specialist in their area.
